Subject: Google AdSense? – New features

Google AdSense

Hello,

This month brings a lot of new features to your AdSense account read on for more information. You can also learn more about these new features by visiting the AdSense Support center: our new, searchable resource for all things AdSense.

URL Channels

We’ve also introduced a whole new type of channel for your account. URL channels allow you to track the performance of individual pages, or groups of pages, without having to update your ad code. Simply click the Channel Management link below the Settings tab to get started.

By entering a full or partial URL, you’ll immediately begin tracking the performance of your pages. You can enter a top-level domain name to track all of the pages on that domain, or you can enter a partial URL to track all of the pages below a certain directory. Entering a full URL will track the performance of that particular page.

For examples and instructions, please refer to the Channels section of AdSense Support.

New AdSense for search languages

We’ve expanded our language support for AdSense for search. Users can now search in 21 languages, including Czech, Hungarian, Slovak, Russian, and traditional Chinese. The Google ads on your results pages will also be targeted to the appropriate language. Publishers can sign up for AdSense for search in any of these supported languages. Please note that AdSense for content is currently not available for these five languages for a full list of supported languages, please read What languages does AdSense support? in the AdSense Support center.

Enhanced image ads

Google will soon be expanding its image ad program to include a wider variety of creative formats. We’ll be accepting animated GIFs from a small test group of advertisers, and you’ll be able to display these ads on your pages! The new ads will still adhere to the 50KB size limit, and will be reviewed according to our editorial guidelines for image ads. You can opt in to image ads from within your publisher account for full instructions, please refer to the AdSense FAQ.

Contact Us

We know you have an opinion about these new features, and we’d love to hear it! We also welcome all questions and comments about the AdSense program – send us an email from the AdSense contact page.

Thanks for being an important part of Google AdSense.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team
