Outlook does not support Hotmail directly, but there is a workaround you can use with just about any Web-based e-mail system. If the Folder List isn’t showing in Outlook, choose View | FolderList. Now create a Hotmail folder by right-clicking on Outlook Today, choosing New Folder, entering Hotmail as the folder name, and choosing OK. Next, you need to associate the new folder with the Hotmail Web site. Right-click on the Hotmail folder; choose Properties, then Home Page. Check the box labeled Show Home Page By Default For This Folder, enter http://www.hotmail.com in the Address box, and choose OK. From now on, when you click on the folder, Outlook will show you the Hotmail sign-in page.
